Dallas Dwi Lawyers

I need a lawyers advice.?

My boyfriend just got his 2nd DWI and I need some info about what could go on. Help please. This was in Dallas County in Texas. So anyone out there that could help, just send me a message. Thanks so much.
Ok to everyone that says Im an enabler, Im not. For one he rarely goes out to drink. This is the first time in over 3 months that he has even had any kind of alcohol. I am not even old enough to get into the bars where he goes. He just has bad luck when it comes to this stuff. He works 2 jobs from 6 am to 10 pm and he needed one night out with a friend of his. So yes he may have a drinking problem, but if anything it has gotten better since we got together because I can not go to bars since I am only 20 years old.

Your boyfriend needs to immediately contact an attorney who practices criminal law, and specifically, an attorney who is familiar with DUI/DWI in your area.

He needs to do this immediately. The reason I say this is that in most states, the process of suspending his driver’s license begins at the time of arrest. It *may* be possible to save his driver’s license, but only if an appeal is filed within the appropriate time. That period of time may be very short, (in some cases as short as 10 days), so delaying can harm his chances.

Texas Penal Code, Section 49.09, provides that a second offense of DWI is a class A misdemeanor, with a minimum jail sentence of 30 days.

For a referral to an attorney in your area, contact your local or state bar association.
