The Different Drunk Driving Laws?
The Michigan Laws Please
I know what everything stands for
such as
DUI-Driving Under The Influence
DWI- Driving While Intoxicated
MIP- minor in possession
Zero tolerance for minors driving
Or any others I could possibly know about.
But I was wondering if anyone could list the punishments for each. such as your first offense for a DUI second and so on
Its for a speech and it would be super helpful!
DWI is like drunkenly shooting a gun into a crowd of innocent people. The danger is the same, so the punishment should be the same. Just because nobody gets hurt should be no excuse for letting a DWI suspect walk away free.
Under Michigan laws: look them up on the web. For example:
http://www.alllaw.com/calculators/dwi/michigan/ Calculate punishment based upon 7 statutory factors, with fines up to $500 and anything from 45 days of community service (!!) up to 5 years of prison.
