Dui Defense

What happens if you don’t send your driver’s license to the DMV after a DUI?

I’m not driving but I haven’t turned it in yet because I’ve moved out of state and have needed ID to open new accounts, etc. I called my court appointed lawyer with the question; will there be separate consequences for that, but of course haven’t heard back, which leads me to my next question: Is a public defender gonna screw me over more than no defense at all?

i would move to wyoming – learn the law
