I don’t have the answer to your question, but I do have an opinion.
Perhaps the better question is, who hires people with my qualifications in Texas?
Do you have any references who can vouch for your change of lifestyle? IF you can get your record sealed or expunged, it won’t be tomorrow, so you will still need to concentrate on finding a job.
A change of attitude would be a huge help in a job search. Rather than carry the past as a burden that explains why you can’t get work, turn it around and use as a way to make you stand out – how you can take a bad situation and turn it around – how you can handle adversity and how you could be a good example for others having trouble with violence or anger.
Behind every cloud, the sun is shining!! You need to find the sun.
Good luck.
