NYS driving penalties for under 18 year olds?
I’m trying to get my parents permission to drive to NJ with friends in a few weeks. Their only problem with it is the possibility that I may get pulled over or in an accident. There is a law in NY which states that drivers under the age of 18 are allowed only one non-family member under the age of 21 in the car. Does anyone know what would happen if I get pulled over with more than one person?
A written note from your parents won’t overturn law, and the law where you have your license is the one in effect no matter where you are driving.
